| M1144 is a low metallic conventional resin-bonded material in which steel and acrylic fibres have been used to replace asbestos. M1144 is the asbestos free replacement for M171. It is regarded as the standard across a wide range of events, while remaining suitable for heavy duty road use. It maintains a constant friction level over a range of temperatures and has the advantage of a high cold friction which eliminates the dead feel on first application. | M1155 is a low/medium metallic material combining a blend of ferrous and non ferrous metals with a high temperature abrasive/lubricant system. Its unique formulation enables use at high temperatures without any special bedding in procedures. M1155 is the asbestos free replacement for M200 while providing improved friction and wear characteristics. Application M1155 is suitable for group A and also Group N rally, loose surface and circuit use. |
M1166 is a medium metallic material combining a blend of ferrous and non ferrous metals with inorganic compounds and high temperature abrasives/lubricants. Its formulation as with the other Mintex competition materials enables uses at high temperature without any special bedding in procedures. M1166 has an enhanced friction level compared with M155 while retaining good wear characteristics. Application M1166 is suitable for Rally and Saloon/Sports Car Endurance Racing, as an alternative to M1155. |
